privacy policy.
This policy explains what Syncode collects when you use this website and its free tools, what stays on your own device, and who else is involved. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Who we are
Syncode is operated by syncode Establishment, an active establishment registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under National Number 7054045179. Syncode builds software for companies and individuals, and publishes a few free tools on this site.
We are the party responsible for the personal data described below. The full registration details are listed at the end of this page.

What you send us
When you submit the contact form, these fields are sent to us:
- Your name.
- Your email address, so we can reply.
- Your company name, if you choose to fill it in — the field is optional.
- The project type you selected.
- The message you wrote.
The form is delivered by EmailJS, which passes the message to our inbox. Nothing else on the page is attached to it: we do not add your browsing history, and we do not build a profile from it. If the delivery service is unavailable, the form falls back to opening your own email client instead, in which case the message goes directly from you to us.
We use what you send to answer you and to discuss the project you asked about. If the conversation goes nowhere, the email stays in the inbox as ordinary correspondence — we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent contact details to anyone.

What stays on your device
The CV builder and the GPA calculator run entirely in your browser. Everything you type into them is saved in that browser's local storage so your work survives a refresh, and it is never sent to us.
- The CV builder keeps your CV — name, contact details, employment history, education, skills — in your browser only. Syncode never receives it.
- PDF and DOCX files are generated on your own machine and downloaded straight from it. The file does not pass through a server of ours.
- The GPA calculator keeps your subjects, grades and hours in your browser only.
- Both tools have a reset control that clears their stored data. Clearing your browser's site data removes it as well.
Because this data lives in your browser, anyone else who uses the same browser profile can see it. On a shared or public computer, use the reset control when you are finished.

Career profile and guided LinkedIn updates
The LinkedIn builder reads PDF/DOCX files on your device. Files are not uploaded or retained by Syncode. The editable career profile, including source notes, is saved in your browser; use Clear career profile to remove it. Importing a Syncode CV does not change the original CV draft.
Syncode never asks for or stores your LinkedIn password. LinkedIn login happens directly on linkedin.com in a new tab. Syncode does not receive your LinkedIn cookies, sessions or authentication information, and cannot check whether you are logged in.
Your prepared content, completion checkmarks and current update step are saved in this browser. Checkmarks record your own confirmation, not a verified LinkedIn update. Start Over resets this progress; Clear career profile removes the profile and progress. CV contents and contact details are not sent to LinkedIn or analytics. Copying writes only the selected text to your clipboard; you choose what to paste and save on LinkedIn. Visiting LinkedIn is subject to its own privacy policy.

Analytics and hosting
We measure how the site is used so we know which pages are worth keeping. Two services do this, and both see page-level information only — which page was opened, roughly where from, and on what kind of device.
- Google Analytics, which sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address as part of a normal request.
- Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without setting cookies.
Neither receives what you type. Form values are not passed to them, and the tools keep personal details out of the page address, so nothing you enter into the CV builder or the GPA calculator reaches an analytics service.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, its servers record requests — the address requested, the IP address it came from, the time, and the browser's user-agent string — as part of delivering and protecting the site.

Advertising on the free tools
Two pages carry advertising: the GPA calculator at /gpa and the CV builder at /cv. The ads come from Google AdSense and are what keeps both tools free. Every other page — the home page, services, projects, contact and this policy, in both languages — loads nothing at all from Google's advertising servers.
Where the ads appear is our decision, not Google's. Each page has a single placement, written into the page below the tool. Automatic ad insertion is switched off, so nothing appears inside a form, beside a button, or in the middle of your results.
What you type into the tools is not part of this. Your CV and your grades stay in your browser, are never sent to us, and are therefore never sent to an advertiser. What Google's advertising services do receive is the ordinary technical information any web request carries: your IP address, your browser and device, the page you are on, and the cookies or similar identifiers it uses to select and measure ads.
You can change how ads are personalised in Google's own ad settings, and an ad blocker will stop them loading entirely — the calculator and the CV builder work exactly the same either way.

Services we rely on
These providers support the site, each under its own privacy policy:
- EmailJS — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Analytics — measures page usage.
- Google AdSense — supplies the advertising on /gpa and /cv, and nowhere else.
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides page-view analytics.
These providers operate servers outside Saudi Arabia, so data handled by them may be processed abroad. Fonts and every other asset are served from our own domain, so simply reading a page does not call out to anyone else.
[09]
How long we keep things
- Contact enquiries: kept as email for as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted on request.
- Analytics: kept according to the retention period configured in the analytics services, and never tied to a named person by us.
- Anything in your browser: kept until you clear it. We cannot delete it for you, because we cannot see it.
[10]
Your rights
Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law gives you rights over personal data held about you. In practice, with a site this size, that means you can ask us to tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — and we will do it.
Write to us using the details below. We answer within a reasonable time, and we do not require you to explain why you are asking.
[11]
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and the design deliberately reduces what there is to protect: there are no accounts, no passwords, no payment details, and no database of visitors. The most sensitive thing on this site — your CV — never leaves your machine.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. We hold no security certification, and nothing here should be read as one.
[12]
Changes to this policy
If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated. There is no version we keep quiet about — the site is built from a public repository, and so is this text.
